Girls' Brigade

The Girls’ Brigade is a national membership organisation which caters for girls between the ages of 5 and 18.  You can find out more about the national organisation at


Members of our church community lead two companies.

Weekly activities at both include games, craft, cooking and a short epilogue. They offer girls the chance to enter the Duke of Edinburgh award scheme and there is also a Young Leaders’ Programme, which helps girls develop skills and aptitudes which will of benefit to them in various aspects of the future lives.


 1st Stourbridge Girl’s Brigade

on Monday evenings during school terms

from 5.45 pm to 7.30pm

costs £2.00 per evening, payable weekly or termly

PGL  style camps take place most years – sometimes with other companies in the area. Other activities recently have been a trip to ‘Trooping the Colour’ and taking part in the carnival. We occasionally take part in competitions such as a choir/ music event and activity days are organised with other companies in the area most years.

1st Peters Hill

meets at Peter’s Hill Primary School on Peter’s Hill Rd, Amblecote DY5 9AL

on Tuesday evenings during term time

5.30 pm to 7.15 pm – the younger age groups (5 – 11)

6.00 pm to 8.00 pm  - older girls up to 18.

There is a small charge, most people paying on a termly or half termly basis. 

There is an annual weekend camp and members also have the chance to go on camp with members of other companies.
